Planter Fencing

Always a fan of inventive ways of dealing with construction fencing... This one, located on the Ultimo Pedestrian Network, is a green and graphic wall spanning 110m. Titled Concrete Jungle, the fencing was created by a team of local artists and led by UTS Institute for Sustainable Futures. More information can be found here.

A 24 Hour Office Retreat

ABA and OF office mascots
Since living in Sydney I have been fortunate enough to rent office space from my friend Andrew and his team at ABA (Andrew Burges Architecture). This group of characters (Andrew, Celia, Sofia, Laure, Louise and Anna) were some of the first people I met when I moved to Australia, have witnessed quite a bit and have guided me through the crazy ride I have been on… I am very grateful to have met them all.
A little r and r...
So with Laure, returning home to Belgium after a couple of years in Sydney, a celebration was in order. A 24 hour getaway to Palm Beach, the northern-most-tip of Sydney, was planned  and ABA invited Office Feuerman to come along.

Palm Beach
Staying in a beautiful house designed by Andrew, perched above the marina’s vibrant blue water, our 24 hour retreat included eating (a tremendous amount), interacting with the wildlife, relaxing on the beach, hiking up to the Barranjoey Lighthouse to reveal the true end of the world, witnessing flocks of dolphins swimming along the sandstone cliff’s edge, and even watching one of Australia’s cult film classics, the 1976 Don’s Party, which we all liked but determined may have been slightly inappropriate for an office outing.
A perfect shower...
Just your everyday birds...
Food prep!
Mexican fiesta, suggested inspiration = hot arid climates
Breakfast and lunch, suggested inspiration = European with a touch of Aussie know how

It was the ideal 24 hour escape and perfect celebration for Laure, who is now sorely missed… Thanks ABA for inviting us to come along!
